Just had some excellent feedback from Wirral Libraries on the author day I did for them:
"It was just right"
"Thank you, girls age 7+9 really enjoyed it"
8/10 said the workshop was brilliant and 2/10 thought it was good. 9/10 actively said they would recommend my workshops to friends.
To book your workshop, see my contact details on About Me and download FREE brochure from the Home page. Workshops now include FREE signed books!

The book day that defied a storm!
Librarians, volunteers, young people and I defied Storm Doris last week to make it to
Bebington Central Library on the Wirral, where I was holding my author day. The Friends
of the Library had organised everything brilliantly and we had a fun day for half-term that
was well-attended by local families and included:
Two author talks | Two Q&A sessions | Creative Writing and a Story Hunt around the
library | Tuck shop and coffee shop | A book stall courtesy of Linghams Booksellers
where I signed copies of the Spirits novels and my short story collections.
As always it was great to meet with my readers and hear their own views on writing.
If you'd like me to bring my author workshops to you, get in touch! Check out the FREE brochure for download on my Home page.

I will be off to Bebington Central Library on the Wirral this half-term for a fun day of workshops, creative writing and general authorishness! A day for all the family. Come and find out more about The Sword of the Spirit and maybe a little about the
new Spirits novel too... And perhaps you'll finish the day with an idea for a story of your own...
Thursday 23 February, 10.00am-12noon and 2.00pm-4.00pm (same half-day event running twice!). Bebington Central Library, Civic Way, Birkenhead, Wirral CH63, UK
This is a free event but you need to book in advance (see Library staff!).

Near-sellout for The Sword of the Spirit!
The Sword of the Spirit had a fabulous launch at award-winning Linghams Booksellers of
Heswall, Wirral on the first day of the Wirral Arts Festival. Despite (or perhaps because of!)
the bad weather, we had a marvellous crowd and it was great to meet with all who came to
learn more about the Spirits series. Particularly those who turned up dressed as wizards
and witches! We were entertained by singers from Wirral Grammar School performing in
the coffee shop and I look forward to visiting the school to hold a workshop in the future. In
the signing session we had a near-sellout, with a handful of signed copies remaining in-store.
I would like to thank Linghams and the Festival organisers for their wonderful hospitality.
Earlier in the week I gave a preview of the book to Year 6 classes from Liscard Primary
School who attended workshops with me at Wallasey Central Library. Again, it was great to
see such a positive reaction to my books. For more details of my workshops, please
