Victorian England. Edward Fitzberranger is soon to become ill and die. But could there be another way?

The Middle Ages. Sir Francis Fitzberranger is about to marry... but finds himself shifted in time.

The barrier into the spirit world is finally breaking down and no one in the mortal world is safe. History must be set back on course and prophecies fulfilled. The Grand Defender is needed.

‘What a fantastic story, I think is the most fantastic of the series, it was a superb finishing for this saga! The characters were so interesting and charming, the atmosphere, the places, everything was so rich, filled with details, I could see it all in my mind, the descriptions were really well done, the adventure was thrilling, I was biting my nails with excitement! I had a lot of fun! Congratulations to Rob Keeley!!!

I had a blast reading the whole series, and I got a little nostalgic… I’m gonna miss all the characters, and for sure I’ll be reading this saga all over again!!!’

-Goodreads reviewer

‘The Coming of the Spirits delved deep into the root of who Ellie is and the events in her life that changed time. Ellie has gone from a child to 18. In that time, she has grown not only physically, but emotionally and mentally. The setting[s] of the books have aged with her appropriately. This [is] the most intense and dystopian of the series. One climactic event was even a bit scary to me with its detailed imagery. As usual, Keeley's descriptions and settings were vivid and real. It is actually hard to believe that it was only 144 pages with how much had happened and how gripping the plotline was...
The ending was definitely unexpected.’

‘Here we are at last: the final book of Rob Keeley's thrilling and adorable Spirits series. True to form, I read this in one sitting. These books are like shot glasses. You down them fast because they're so good and so compelling. And just like its predecessors, The Coming of the Spirits is a page-turner, full of charm, adventure, and countless surprises.’ - The Wood Between The Worlds blog

'Wow, this final book in the Spirits series started off with a bang and didn't let up! I felt just as confused as Ellie did at times. Was it all really happening or was it just a trick by the spirits? Were the Nazis really in charge? Who or what is the Warlock? And last of all, will the Grand Defender finally make an appearance?

Poor Ellie once again finds herself in a dire situation and is still very reluctant to get involved. She's tired, frightened, hungry and alone, until she is rescued by Kayla who gives her shelter for the night.

I had so many questions as I read on and wondered if the author was going to be able to answer them all within the 144 pages! I didn't need to worry though, as the story twisted and turned towards its surprising ending!' - Secret Library Book Blog

'Read on, for a hundred and fifty pages of glorious, non-stop action. If you have been reading this series, you'll finally discover how everything and everyone fits together. If you haven't, you really must...

Highly satisfying conclusion to what has been a thoroughly enjoyable ghostly series by Rob Keeley.' - Jill Murphy, The Bookbag

'You end up becoming fully invested in the character of Ellie as she faces challenging decisions, and I have to admit that I may have even shed a tear with certain events in this book! I loved the mix of jumping back to various timelines, with Ellie dealing with her own personal issues with her family and the scary prospect of ageing two years every night!!

...There's so much for children to learn and take from this series in general, and it's a perfect book for parents to enjoy with them...

I've thoroughly enjoyed spending time with Ellie, her family and all the characters that became her friends over the years!' - Karen Mace, blogger

'The whole series has been a joy to read and now that they are all released you have no excuse not to read them all back to back! They are stories which show a tough female protagonist who is courageous and humorous, mixed in with a wonderful cast of ghosts who all have their own unique personalities.' - Whispering Stories blog.
