‘… an incredibly fun and whimsical ride from start to finish… deserves a spot on your child’s bookshelf… imaginative, inclusive and visually delightful. This book is a great complement for interactive learning and activities.’

‘Arthur and the Land of Nimbostratus isn't Rob Keeley's first story with a wheelchair user - the wonderful The Double Life of a Wheelchair User takes that honour - but it is his first picture book to do that. While it's great to see a wheelchair-using child having the same adventures as his peers in other picture books, what is especially great is that Arthur's chair is entirely incidental to the story - he and his friend Maxine are simply using their imaginations to have adventures just as any children would. I do hope Arthur continues on in this inclusive vein. Everyone can go on adventures.

The illustrations by Simon Goodway are colourful and engaging and full of detail that parents and children can notice, share and return to, often finding something new. Rob's text, as ever, captures joy and fun while sneaking in a little bit of vocabulary-stretching. This is a true story for sharing.

As ever, recommended.

As this will be my last time reviewing one of Rob Keeley's fabulous stories, I'd like to say that working with Rob over the years has been my absolute privilege. He has a wholehearted and joyous commitment to storytelling for children that makes my heart sing. He understands kids and what makes them tick and he is such a positive role model himself. I'm sure he has instilled a love of words and narrative into countless children over the years and I hope he inspires just as many more in the years to come.

Cheers, Rob!’

‘This is a delightful story!! Following the adventures of Arthur, and his friend Maxine, you are really taken along on a wonderful journey showing that escaping the world through imagination is fun for us all, whatever your age!!

Arthur is a young boy in a wheelchair, and he can't wait for Saturdays to come round as that is when he sees Maxine! They normally head to the park to have fun but the weather isn't so good this day, so she gets him to use his imagination instead so they explore the clouds up in the sky and the world beyond!

And what they find up there is a wonder!! The illustrations are bright and bold and are perfect to share the impact that using your imagination can create such a delightful and fun environment to escape into - something we all need to do more of!!

You can imagine reading this to a child and sharing your own ways of having adventures together through imagination and play! It is such a lovely book for children of all ages, especially as there's lots to explore in the colourful illustrations as well!

Arthur and Maxine are such wonderful characters, sharing such a lovely bond, and I'm already looking forward to seeing what other adventures they get to have in the future!!’
